Have questions?

How long does it take to get used to wearing a snoring mouth guard?

Most people need a short adjustment period (often1–2 weeks) as the mouth and jaw adapt. Mild changes like extra saliva or slight jaw awareness are common early on and usually settle with consistent use.

What if I feel jaw soreness or tooth tenderness?

A little jaw or tooth tenderness can happen at first because the jaw is being held slightly forward. If discomfort is more than mild or doesn’t improve, stop using it and check in with your dentist—proper fit matters.

Will it make me drool or give me dry mouth?

Some people noticemore saliva(or occasionallydry mouth) during the first week or two—this is a normal “getting used to it” phase. These effects typically improve once your body adjusts.

I grind my teeth — can I still use it?

This mouth guard is designed for snoring support (jaw positioning), not as a dedicated teeth-grinding guard. Some people who grind may still use an anti-snoring guard, but if grinding is a main issue, it’s worth asking your dentist what type of guard is best for you.

Can it change my bite or affect my teeth long-term?

With oral appliances, long-term dental/bite changes are a known potential risk—especially if fit is poor or if you have existing dental issues. That’s why moulding it correctly and checking with a dentist if anything feels “off” is important.

What if I have a sensitive gag reflex or I’m a mouth breather?

Try wearing it for short periods before sleep for a few nights to adapt, and make sure it’s moulded correctly for a snug fit. If you’re mouth breathing due to a blocked nose, addressing congestion can also help because mouth breathing increases snoring risk.

Will it stay in place if I move a lot or sleep on my side?

A custom mould is designed to hold securely on your teeth, so it’s less likely to shift during the night. DreamSnug is positioned as comfort-first and suitable for side sleepers once fitted properly.

Who is this NOT suitable for?

It’s not recommended forbraces or loose dentures, and if you have significant jaw/TMJ concerns or major dental problems, check with your dentist first. It alsodoesn’t treat sleep apnoea—if you suspect that, speak with a doctor.
